Super Gender

This app allows you to explore gender representation in comics. Based on analysis over 100,000 characters from the Comic Vine API, it displays the percentage of characters of each gender. It also shows the average number of issue appearances per character, the top 10 alter ego names & titles, and the top 10 character origins, all broken down by gender.

The data visualization makes use of the Chartist library for creating simple, colorful graphics. If you're curious how the data analysis was done, check out the code at https://github.com/paloobi/genderincomics
